Energy efficiency measures for green sustainable development of Izola Petrov EOOD

“Izola Petrov“ is established in 1994 with main subject of activity – bitumen insulation membranes, bitumen roof tiles and bitumen coating. The management faces major problems summarized as follows: • High energy consumption in production process as a result of outdated equipment and technologies • Low production efficiency, which prevents the company to expand production capacity. In this connection, the project activities of the present proposal target at significant progress for environmental sustainability and reduction of negative environmental impact and reaching effective and responsible utilization of natural resources by means of: • Investment in new energy-efficient high-effective production line for bitumen material and Water purifying system, ; • Consulting services needed for audit of energy efficiency of “Izola Petrov“, and Certification of Environment Management System in accordance with the standards of ISO 50001 for the implementation of energy saving measures recommended in the energy efficiency audit report The implementation of the project activities will significantly improve the competitiveness of the company in the following areas: • Improving the resource efficiency – Reduction of energy and material costs, thus saving natural resources: energy and materials, resulting in decreased production costs and in offering flexible price policy. • Improving market position – the increase in production volumes will provide for expansion in production capacity in order to expand market share and market position in the segment of building materials.
