Increasing energy efficiency in Nitex Ltd.

Nitex Ltd. is among the leading companies it the field of passementerie. In order its development as a social responsible company, with the current project proposal, through the realization of a set of measures, recommended by an energy audit is envisaged a raise in the energy efficiency in its activity. The need of Nitex Ltd. from raising its competitiveness and reducing the energy intensity of its production will be satisfied with the implementation of the project. The project will be 18 months and includes the following activities: 1. Elaboration of an energy audit. 2. Commissioning of a two shafted calendar. 3. Commissioning of a Sectional snovilo for elastic and non-elastic fibers. 4. Commissioning of a Packing machine. 5. Commissioning of a Confection machine. 6. Commissioning of an Electrical stacker. 7. Consulting services for introduction and certification of ISO 50001. 8. Commissioning of a System for automated energy monitoring. 9. Publicity and visualization. The expected results from the project implementation are two types - quantitative and qualitative: 1. Quantitative - Saving electricity - energy savings of 83 307,53 kWh annually, representing a decrease of 50.06 % compared to the baseline. - Energy savings factor - 67,61 %. - Total reducing the amount of CO2 - 67,51 tons/year. - Internal rate of return - 18,39%. - Payback period of investment - 5,01 years. 2. Qualitative - Implemented energy efficiency measures, according to recommendations of an energy audit. - Increased competitiveness and achieve sustainable growth of the company. - A resource-efficient and more environmentally friendly production process.
