Improving energy efficiency in "KASHTA NA KAMAKA" Ltd.

This project will be implemented by KASHTA NA KAMAKA EOOD, a company specialising in the processing of natural stone materials. Vratsa limestone is the mostly used product, to the following product groups: architectural details, sculptures and sculpture compositions, public monuments of national importance, fountains and jets, columns, balustrades, fireplaces, barbecues, basins and sinks, pots, garden equipment and decoration, rotundas and park pavilions, tombstones, chapels and mausoleums, stairs and baseboards, countertops, profiles, etc. The project foresees the implementation of measures aimed to improve the energy efficiency and to increase the capacity of the company: 1. Measure 1 - Working centre with movable head and 5 integrated axes for milling, cutting and shaping of stone blocks; 2. Measure 2 – Delivery and installation of gang saw for marble with open frame. The specific measures are based on the recommendations included in the Energy Efficiency Audit, approved by the Sustainable Energy Development Agency (SEDA) by Opinion No BG16RFOP - 981/ 18.10.2016. The realization of the project and the foreseen measures will result in: * Planned energy savings amounting to 53.71 %; * Total energy savings ratio (ESR): 55.96 %. The period of investment repayment is 4,2 years, at an internal rate of return of 22.71 %. The following activities will be implemented during project realization: Element A “Investment”: * Investments aimed to implement the planned energy efficiency measures - supplier selection, supply, installation and commissioning of the equipment. Element B “Services”: * Energy efficiency audit; * Integration and certification of an Energy Management System in accordance with the requirements of the standard BDS EN 50001 (Energy Management Systems)/EN ISO 50001; * Publicity and visualization. Total project budget is 1 315 372.82 BGN, VAT excl. Planned project duration is 18 months.
