Increasing energy and resource effectiveness in "Pharma Vet" Ltd

“Pharma Vet" Ltd is a company whose activity is the production of pesticides, agrochemicals, medical products, food additives and other veterinary products.The company was established twenty years ago and maintains a high quality of its products. In order to optimize its production processes, the company needs to update and improve the its technologies and make them more resource efficient and ecologically friendly. These measures will improve the energy efficiency of “Pharma Vet" Ltd and increase its competitiveness by reducing its production expenses and its reliance on raw material deliveries. The project propodal is geared towards investment in increasing the energy efficiency, which will lead to a reduction in the resources used to produce a single production item. It will contribute in implementing and developing an ecologically friendly manufacturing, and increase the sustainable competitiveness of the company.     The high energy intensiveness of the company is due to the physically and morally aged technologies, to the limited access to new and better practices, systems and models for energy efficient manufacturing. It is highly imperative that the current manufacturing equipment be updated, but it is lagging behind due to lack of finances. Accomplishing the investment plans outlined in the project will lead to the increased competitiveness of “Pharma Vet" Ltd through improving the energy efficiency and capacity of the manufacturing process. These measures will also lead to a sustainable growth and to a reduced energy intensiveness for the company as well as the economy in general.
