Sustainable development and competitiveness of Printing House Daga LLC through implementing measures for energy efficiency

Printing House Daga LLC was established in 1997. Its main activity is in the sphere of polygraphy – production of printing materials, among which self-adhesive labels for wine-production, food and drink industry, chemical, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. The realization of the current project will lead to the fulfillment of two main goals of the printing house, set in its development strategy and coinciding with the goals of the current procedure – expanding the production capacity and improving the energy efficiency of the company which will lead to raising its competitiveness. Daga intends to achieve it through the implementation of three closely connected activities: conduction of an energy audit in the company, installation of an energy-efficient piece of equipment for digital roll printing, as well as implementation of a system for energy management and certification as to the requirements of ISO 50001:2011. Daga is one of the most innovative companies in its field that has been developing quite fast during the last several years thanks to the continuous investments in most up-to-date equipment by the management. The only limitation for the development of the company at the current moment remains the impossibility to be fulfilled all incoming orders for printing short runs of selfadhesive roll labels, because of the insufficient capacity for that. In combination with the integration and certification of ISO 50001:2011 in the company, the successful implementation of the current project will give the company the opportunity to realize all incoming orders and even quite more energy-efficiently. The envisaged in the project piece of equipment will expand the production capacity of the existing economic entity, raising the amount of produced labels for a given time period and improve their quality. All this will lead to raising the competitiveness of the company on the market of selfadhesive roll labels on the market in Bulgaria and abroad.
