Energy efficiency "CENTRAL BALKAN RECYCLING" LTD.

"CENTRAL BALKAN RECYCLING" is a private company with main activity recycling of all types of waste cables (copper, aluminum and composite). The project envisages the purchase of modern equipment, which is characterized by significantly lower energy consumption per produced unit and greater performance compared to the existing at the moment. Thus, the project will directly contribute to achieving high energy efficiency of the company, its sustainable development and increased competitiveness. It will also lead to a significant reduction in the energy consumption and reduce the operational running costs of the production facility. The implementation of energy-saving production technologies will contribute to the environmental sustainability and reduce the negative impacts on the environment. Since the production process of recycling is done by inefficient installation of machines that consume considerable electricity, strategic goal of this project is to achieve optimal energy consumption by implementing the following activities: 1. Performing an energy audit; 2. Optimizing the energy consumption of the entire production through implementation and certification under BS EN ISO 50001 energy management; 3. Modernization of production equipment to increase the production capacity and reduce production costs through the introduction of high-tech and energy efficient production equipment for the recycling of cables through the purchase of new equipment. All activities under this project will reduce the electricity consumption to produce one production unit, and emissions of CO2. The implementation of the project activities will increase the competitiveness and production efficiency and will enable the expansion of production capacity of the company, without changing fundamentally the basic production process.
