MEGAENERGY

Megaport Ltd. Was founded in 1992. The main activity of the company is production of polymer, packaging and materials. The company has factories and commercial offices in the cities of V. Tarnovo, Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna and Burgas, with a total area of ​​over 20,000 sq.m. The object of this project is the industrial system in V. Tarnovo consisting of two production buildings. The main problems and limitations of the company's development are related to the high energy intensity of production processes - extrusion and recycling. Part of the technological equipment at the factory is physically substantially depreciated and technically outdated. With the implementation of this project, the company will introduce energy efficiency measures in order to achieve sustainable growth and increase the competitiveness of Megaport Ltd. The activities envisaged within the project are: 1. Investments to implement measures recommended in the Energy Efficiency Survey: Measure 1 Supply of an energy-efficient extruder with high productivity. Measure 2 Supply of an energy-efficient extruder retreader for a recycling workshop. Measure 3 Supply of a new recycling line. The selected aid scheme for element A is regional investment aid. The activity is related to the expansion of the capacity of an existing manufactory. 2. Investments for the implementation of measures recommended in the Energy Efficiency Survey that are not required under Element A: Measure 4 Supply of equipment for waste energy utilization. 3. Introduction and certification of an energy management system according to the requirements of ISO 50001. 4. Publicity and visualization. 5. Audit of the project. The implementation of the project will lead to the expansion of production capacity, significant energy savings, increased efficiency of recycling of scrapped products and polymer waste material, and overall improvement of the market position of the company.
