Increasing energy efficiency in Yuri Gagarin AD

"Yuri Gagarin" JSC was established in 1964 as the only manufacturer on the territory of Bulgaria of printed packages and filter sticks, spare parts, machines and non-standard equipment. In 1993, with an order of the Council of Ministers, the enterprise was transformed into a joint-stock company, Yuri Gagarin AD, as the successor of the Yuri Gagarin plant in Plovdiv. Yuri Gagarin JSC is a leading manufacturer of luxury multi-color printed labels and packaging of paper and cardboard for the food, cosmetics, cigarette and pharmaceutical industry and filter sticks. Due to the specificity of production, each of the production processes that form the entire production cycle for the two production lines is located in a separate production workshop and functions as a stand-alone industrial system that has specialized equipment and equipment including the implemented measuring equipment information on energy consumption in each of them. The following direct results will be achieved in the implementation of the project "Increasing energy efficiency in Yuri Gagarin AD": - Purchase, supply and commissioning of a high-tech eight-color offset printing machine; - Buying a waste heat recovery system (utilization); - Introduced and certified energy management system according to EN ISO 50001: 2011; - Planned energy savings for the enterprise as a result of project implementation (PES): 75,08%; - Repurchase date of the investment: 3,05 years; - IRR: 32,34%; - Enhancement of the production capacity after the implementation of the energy efficiency measures package; - Made and delivered 1 pc. information table; - Made and delivered 2 pcs. stickers for the delivered and entered DTA; - At least two public events were held to popularize the project activities and the EU contribution; - Financial audit of realized project costs.
