Increasing the energy effectiveness of "VSK KENTAVAR - IZ DINAMIKA" Ltd - Drianovo through investments in improving the plant capacity

The present project proposal is aimed at implementing energy efficiency measures in "VSK KENTAVAR - IZ DINAMIKA" Ltd - Drianovo in order to achieve sustainable growth and competitiveness of the plant. The enterprise analysis for the past 3 years is pointing at an increase of the energy consumption intensity, which reflects on unit cost and limits production efficiency. The annual energy consumption total for year 2015 is 4 161 583,97 kWh. The high level of energy consumption is a direct result of physically and morally ageing technologies which are still used in production on one side, and lack of an energy management system for analysis and management of energy costs on the other side. The project execution strives to realize the initial investments in material assets and thus expanding the capacity of the existing business site and improving the efficiency of ultimate energy consumption. The project will be realized at the company's plant in the city of Drianovo, which is located by the banks of the Drianovska river which is an integral part of NATURA 2000 protected area. The project will be executed during 18 month period and includes investments in 5 energy saving Measures connected with replacement of physically and morally outdated equipment with 4 high performance CNC machines of the last generation, recommended by the energy efficiency audit carried out solely for project purposes; Construction works, Directly related to and necessary for the putting into service of the assets; Construction of an automated system for monitoring and control of the energy consumption and introduction and certification of the company's activity with an energy management system, BDS EN ISO 50001. With the implementation of the project energy savings of 4 082 166,23 kWh / year will be achieved, (57.89%), with CO2 emissions savings of 3 343.29 t / yr.
