Energy efficient production of liquid detergents in Ficosota Ltd

Ficosota Ltd. is a fast developing company in several production areas, each of which is being optimized and expanded further to the constantly growing demand for the respective products, and to our investment plans. Due to the market specifics, currently we need a significant increase of the capacity for production of liquid detergents and softners, the bottleneck being their packaging – incl. bottling and packing in transport packs. The Company currently uses almost 10 mio kWh energy per annum for its production processes. Energy is a major part of the cost of the goods, the packaging process being especially energy-intensive – therefore we constantly seek options for decrease of the energy consumption per unit of production. An energy survey has been performed in order to evaluate how to optimally achieve the goals set. This project is based on energy-saving measures from the survey, and the investments to be made include: - adding of energy-efficient highly productive Line for packaging of liquid detergents and softners to the existing 5 lines in the plant, and increase of the production capacity - implementation of system for utilization of waste energy for own purposes - implementation and certification of system for energy monitoring, as per ISO 50001 These are initial investments in fixed assets for expanding the capacity of an existing entity and for decrease of the energy expenses for production needs in our production facility in Shumen, within 18 months. Upon the project’s completion, the competitiveness of the company shall be significantly increased, since our production capacity shall be increased with at least 50% for the liquid detergents/softners, as well as energy saving of 14,6mio. kWh/p.a. shall be obtained, which equals decrease of 57,4% of the energy-specific expenses in this production.
