Enhancing the energy efficiency of KMD EOOD

KMD EOOD is a rapidly developing company for collecting, transport and temporarily storage of over 140 watses. The company's main activity code is 39.00 - Restoring and other services on waste management. KMD EOOD has a modern and various equipment - over 200 machines, more than half of them have EURO 5 eco standard, which answers the high demands of the clients. The company offers winter maintenance, throwing sand and snow-ploughing. The company also offers to the citizens of Plovdiv and the region the following activities: clearing out of canals, cleaning out of cesspits, machine washing and sweeping. "We work for Plovdiv, for a cleaner and greener place of living." The company collects and transports hard domestic waste as well as large construction waste. It also makes harmless and recycles out of use materials in a way that is safe, efficient, ecological and economically effective. The company is certified by Lloyd's Register EMEA and TUV NORTH CERT GmbH on European standards of quality, environment protection and healthy and safety conditions of work: ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, BS OHSAS 18001:2007 and system for social responsibility on standard SA 8000:2008, as well as EUROSERT BULGARIA on Regulation (EU) №1221/25.11.2009 and EMAS (Scheme of the Community for Environment Management and Audit). In order to improve the company's energy efficience and production capacity, the current project aims to fulfill a combination of activities on Element A and Element B: • purchase of special transport means, i. e. tangible assets, recommended in the Audit - waste collecting and transporting vehicles - 10; • acquiring of installation of using waste energy. The project will provide new working positions, increase the overall production capacity of the company with 20% and contribute for increasing its turnover with 5% on annual basis.
