"Competitiveness of" GBS Infrastructurno stroitelstvo" AD through Energy Efficiency"

The project will carry out initial investments in tangible assets related to the expansion of the capacity of an existing economic site for the production of concrete mixtures. The project's investments are aimed at increasing the energy efficiency of an enterprise as a significant contribution to reducing the unit production cost, introducing and developing environmentally friendly production, and achieving a more sustainable enterprise performance in the long run. The activities are in accordance with the recommendations of the report after an energy audit of an industrial system within a production site of GBS Infrastructurno stroitelstvo AD. Supply and commissioning of technological equipment for production of inert materials fractions is envisaged. In order to increase the energy efficiency, an automated system for monitoring and control of the energy consumption will be implemented in the production site and will be implemented and certified ISO 50001: 2011 Energy Management System. The project will introduce into operation a waste energy recovery system.  The expected results of the support consist in improving the energy efficiency in the final energy consumption of GBS infrastructure construction AD, which in turn will lead to capacity expansion and to achieving more sustainable growth at the level of a separate production plant , As well as the economy as a whole. The objectives and the expected results are in line with the corporate policy that the enterprise follows in its overall activity as one of the largest employers in the region. The project is a significant contribution to reducing unit production costs, introducing and developing environmentally-friendly production, and achieving a more sustainable and more efficient enterprise in the long run.
