"Increasing Energy Efficiency in INTERPROM LTD"

The investments in the project are aimed at increasing the energy efficiency of the enterprise in order to achieve sustainable growth and competitiveness. The project will carry out initial investments in tangible and intangible assets related to the expansion of the capacity of an existing economic site for the construction of hydro-technical facilities. Activities are consistent with the recommendations of the report following an energy audit of an industrial system within the enterprise. The new technologies and facilities to be implemented correspond to the best European and world practices, the production processes meet the modern requirements for energy efficiency and environmental friendliness. Delivery and commissioning of specialized new-generation construction equipment is foreseen.  In order to increase the energy efficiency in the production and technical base in the village of Harlets, Kozloduy Municipality will introduce ASMK and will implement and certify the ISO 50001: 2011 Energy Management System. The project will introduce into operation a waste energy recovery system.  The expected results of the support are expressed in the improvement of energy efficiency in the final energy consumption of Interprom EOOD, which in turn leads to the expansion of the capacity of an existing business site and to achieve more sustainable growth, both at the level of Manufacturing enterprise as well as the economy as a whole. The objectives and the expected results are in line with the corporate policy that the enterprise follows in its overall activity as one of the largest employers in the region. The project is a major contribution to reducing unit energy costs, introducing and developing environmentally friendly production and achieving a more sustainable and more efficient enterprise in the long run.
