Increase of the energy efficiency in Sofiyska voda AD through rehabilitation of some of the buildings and implementation of a new aeration system.

The project will contribute to the satisfaction of the needs of Sofiyska Voda AD for improving the energy efficiency in Kubratovo Wastewater Treatment Plant. The total annual energy consumption is 878 189 kWh/2016. In order to reduce the energy consumption for ensuring the wastewater treatment process, with the implementation of the project it is envisaged for investments to be made involving the following energy-saving measures: - Replacement of the diffuser system of one of the aeration tanks with a new system with panel diffusers; - Rehabilitation works related to heat insulation of the external walls of 5 buildings and replacement of the window frames, recommended in the energy efficiency survey performed for the needs of the project; The project will be implemented in Kubratovo Wastewater Treatment Plant within a term of 24 months. The following results will be achieved with the implementation of the project: - increased energy efficiency in Kubratovo Wastewater Treatment Plant; - achievement of energy savings in the size of 2,033,244 kWh/year; - greenhouse emissions CO2 savings measuring 1665.17 t/year; - improvement of the labor conditions in the main production buildings.
