Energy-efficient solutions and systems to expand the production capacity of Centromet Jsc.

The company "Centromet" AD, Vratsa, is specialized in the production of centrifugal castings installations with rough or final machining, which are widely used in machinery and equipment for the chemical, metallurgical, ship and ceramic industries. The current project envisages investment activities leading to expand the production capacity and improve the energy efficiency of the plant in order to improve the competitiveness of the company and reduce CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. With the implementation of the project, lower production costs will be reduced due to the introduction of new energy-efficient induction furnaces for the Melting Plant at the Foundry industrial unit and the primary processing of the resulting castings by introducing a new heavy lathe and a measuring arm instrument, that will control the quality of the resulting castings. The energy efficiency of the company will be improved by upgrading the Automated System for Energy Monitoring, Mechanical Ventilation System for Utilization of Residual Heat, Investments for Implementation and Certification according to EN / ISO 50001 for the purpose of energy performance management, control and reduction in energy consumption in the company. The project will be implemented through the following eligible activities under this procedure: ➢ Introduction of induction furnaces for melting installation - 5 pcs. ➢ Introduction of Heavy Lathe for the Machining System of castings with large gauges - 1 pc. ➢ Delivery and commissioning of a measuring hand with an integrated scanner - 1 pc. ➢ Introduction of mechanical ventilation system for utilization of the residual heat energy - 1 pc. ➢ Reduction of energy costs by introducing Automated System for Energy Monitoring - 1 pcs. ➢ Consultancy services for 1) Introduction and 2) Certification of an energy management system according to the requirements of EN ISO 50001. ➢ Providing project Financial audit. ➢ Publicity and visualization of the project.
