Efficient production process in Biovet Jsc

The production process of Biovet AD is performed at 3 places on the territory of Bulgaria. On each of them there are defined production premises everyone of which has its own electric supply and reporting of energy consumption. This project concerns the activities at the premises in Razgrad production site. For ensuring the whole production process only there we use about 46 million kWh yearly. The cooling system which is a part of our production installation, is totally worn out, with very big energy consumption. It is not efficient enough to ensure the necessary now production capacity. Because of the increased demand fpr our products we constantly increase the overall produced volume and at the same time - looking for possibilities to ensure energy effective production process, especially when it comes to energy expences for 1 pcs of product. An energy examination has been performed in order to get recommendations for optimal achievements of the planned results. Based on the energy saving measures recommended we shall perform the following investments: - replacement of old, worn out cooling system with a new one, using modern technologies and offering high effectiveness in terms of capacity as well as in energy consumption - implementation of a system for utilization of waste energy for our own needs and of a system for increasing the capacity for cleaning waste waters. These are initial investments in assests for increasing the energy efficiency and decreasing the expenses for energy for production purposes in our Razgrad premises. The project will last for 12 months. As a result our competitiveness will be raised based on the increase of our overall production capacity for cultivating microorganism strains and at the same time we shall generate energy savings of 4594kwH per year which equals to 8.9%
