The production facilities are located in the town of Lukovit. Since 2012, Polihim-SS has successfully regenerated waste oils in their recovery facility with a capacity of over 10 tonnes of waste per day, which meets all the requirements of the environmental, customs and tax legislation in force in Bulgaria. Consequently the capacity of the production increased to 75 tonnes per day. The operations of the company in 2016 are focused in two different sectors: - production; - collection, transport and temporary storage of waste oils. With this project proposal, the company applies to increase the resource efficiency of the production process by introducing a self-developed ,innovative, fully-automated technology. This will result in the complete exclusion of several hazardous chemicals from the manufacturing process. The following activities are envisaged for the implementation of the new technology: 1. Acquisition of tangible fixed assets; 2. Purchasing an installation to optimize water consumption; 3. Conducting events to promote project outcomes; 4. Publications in the media about the results of the project; 5. Visualisation. The implementation of the project is based on the results of a resource efficiency audit prepared by the company's specialists. The implementation of the project will lead to increased resource efficiency in end-product production as well as to increased production capacity and competitiveness as a consequence of switching to fully automated processes.
