Improving of resource efficiency in Dunav Press AD

The current project proposal will increase the resource efficiency of "Dunav Press" AD by introducing a production (process) innovation - a new significantly improved process of producing labels and cardboard boxes by purchasing an automated and manageable digital production line for production of polygraphic production - 1 pc . The implementation of this innovative production process will allow the saving of basic raw materials for labels and cartons - cardboard, ink and UV varnishes; reducing with more that 47% the waste from sorting of paper and cardboard, non-ferrous metals and metal packaging and the passing of "Dunav Press" AD to the first degree of "waste prevention" according to the waste management hierarchy; reducing the use of dangerous chemicals such as UV varnish; increasing the efficiency of production costs with more than 16% compared to 2016 and reducing the amount of emissions in the atmosphere from the production activity. The implementation of the innovation will expand the production capacity of Dunav Press AD with 20% as it will replace the offset with digital high speed printing technology; will enable fast and quality barcode printing, expiration dates, and security codes under the standart GS1/2DDataMatrix on media up to 530 gsm / 610 microns; will integrate in one the operations of printing, applying of clear coating, applying of water-based varnish and hot air drying and will introduce a high degree of automation. The project also includes activities for organizing and conducting events and publications in traditional and digital media to multiply the results of the project.
