Increasing resource efficiency in "Raya" EOOD through the implementation of pilot and demonstration initiatives for resource efficiency

The present project proposal will increase the resource efficiency of Raya EOOD by introducing process innovation - "Printed self-adhesive labels through dry offset with anilox roller on roll paper" by purchasing a Roll Offset Printing Press with anilox roller - 1 pc. The implementation of this innovative production process will enable the saving of basic raw materials for the production of Printed self-adhesive labels - self-adhesive roll paper, UV ink, isopropyl alcohol and water; a reduction of more than 91% of waste from paper with code 20 01 01, with 35% of metal packages with code 15.01.04 and passing through a printing works "Raya" Ltd. to the first degree of "waste prevention" according to the waste management hierarchy; reducing the use of hazardous chemicals, such as isopropyl alcohol and ink ingredients; increasing the efficiency of production costs by more than 17.5% compared to 2016 and reducing the amount of emissions in the atmosphere from the production activity. The implementation of innovation will increase the production capacity of Raya Ltd. with 48%, as it will increase printing speed without generating substantial volumes of maculations and will allow the company to expand its market share among manufacturers of printed self-adhesive labels. The project also includes activities for organizing and conducting events and publications in traditional and digital media to multiply the results of the project.
