Improvement of resource efficiency in New Global Bulgaria AD

The current project proposal will increase the resource efficiency of New Global Bulgaria AD by introducing an industrial (process) innovation - a significantly improved process of manufacturing boxes and cartons of corrugated cardboard as well as folding boxes and boxes of non-corrugated paper or cardboard. The implementation of this innovative manufacturing process will enable the saving of basic raw materials for the production of corrugated cardboard boxes and cardboard and folding boxes and cardboard of non-corrugated paper or cardboard - corrugated cardboard, cardboard, paper and UV lacquer; a total reduction of more than 49% of the packaging waste from paper and cardboard with code 15.01.01, plastic packages with code 15.01.02 and paper and cardboard with code 20.01.01 and transition to the first step of "waste prevention" to the waste management hierarchy; reducing the use of hazardous chemicals such as UV lacquer; increasing the efficiency of production costs by over 16% compared to 2016 and reducing emissions in the atmosphere from the production activity. The implementation of the innovation will expand the production capacity of corrugated cardboard boxes and boxes with more than 96% and folding boxes and cardboards of non-corrugated paper with more than 97% as it will automate their production and enable the company to expand its market share among packaging manufacturers. The project also includes activities for organizing and conducting events and publications in traditional and digital media to multiply the results of the project.
