Implementation of combined cutting technology and achieving resource-efficient production

The main goal of the project is to achieve resource efficiency in the production of Moni-83 Ltd by introducing innovative combined technology for cutting sheet material, pipes and profiles. The specific objectives address reducing inputs, auxiliary materials, generated waste, etc., as well as implementing process innovation and increasing production capacity together with the related economic benefits. The introduction of a high-tech solution for the combined cutting of sheet material, pipes and profiles will meet our need for a reorganization of the cutting process in the production through which all our manufactured products pass. It will respond to our needs of higher technological capabilities, providing rapidity and cutting accuracy combined with high efficiency of inputs. The project covers five activities. In the first we will buy the machine through which the innovation will be realized. The second activity has already been carried out - conducting a resource efficiency audit. The following activities aim to visualize and multiply the results achieved with a view to their application in similar enterprises and sectors. As a result of the implementation of the project, Moni-83 will implement a pilot technology for Bulgaria, which has the potential to be widely used in the metal-processing and related sectors in the country. The process innovation will lead to high productivity through sustainable use of resources. We will achieve savings of an average of 35.3% of waste generated in production, 2.61% of raw materials and 3.64% of dangerous chemical substances. The machine will enable us to significantly increase our production capacity by reaching 860,000 kg. processed material. This will generate an increase in our revenue from sales, exports and market share. We are planning 40% growth in revenue from sales and exports over the three years after the end of the project. Realized savings and the sale of increased production will also increase our profits.
