Improvement of the resource efficiency of Metal In through introduction of pilot for Bulgaria technologies for alkaline electrolytic zinc coating /galvanization/ and system for monitoring and resource optimization of dry spray painting for metal products

Metal In ltd., founded in 1985, with main activity manufacturing of metal products - NKID2008 - C 25.99 "Manufacturing of other metal products, not else classified". Within 1 PRODPROM - 25992945, three subgroups of products are produced - galvanized; dry spray painted; galvanized and dry spray painted. The activities improving the resource efficiency of this project are targeted at all three. The total production in 2016 is 1 097272 kg, which will increase by 19% as a result of the investment. The current production process is carried out with a large overrun of the main materials steel, zinc anodes, shine coating, dry spray paint. The reason for this are the available technologies for galvanizing and painting. In combination with increased production, the expense for these materials in the period 2014-2016 has been significantly increased. The current project envisages the implementation of the following activities, for which the resource audit demonstrates a significant contribution to the improvement of the resource efficiency in the enterprise: - Acquisition of line for alkaline electrolytic zinc coating /galvanization/ of steel elements, intended for welded constructions; - Acquisition of system for monitoring and resource optimization of dry spray painting for metal products; The technologies realized through these assets represent industrial innovation in the sector, which is a pilot for Bulgaria. Through their implementation, significant savings will be made in basic materials: steel, zinc anodes, dry spray paint, shine coating and auxiliary materials. Along with the economic effects, the realization of the project will have a positive impact on the environment, incl. reduced emissions of the enterprise, waste prevention, incl. plastic packaging, reduction of hazardous chemicals. The multiplication activities aim to show the impact of innovative technologies for Bulgaria, increasing resource efficiency in the metalworking industry.
