Raising the resource efficiency of Industrial Batteries Ltd through the implementation of installation for formation through electrolyte recirculation of industrial lead-acid accumulators.

Industrial Batteries Ltd has its main sector of activity C27.20 “Production of accumulator batteries and accumulators”. It produces a broad range of motive power accumulator batteries. The company carries out its activities on a production yard in Targovishte, q-r Vabel, Hristo Smirnenski Str, situated in the protected area of Natura 2000, Preslavska mountain. Up to now the working process is characterized with consumption of hazardous chemical substances (HCS)–sulfuric acid, high level of resource consumption, generation of waste – packages, containing hazardous remnants or polluted with hazardous substances, which code is 15 01 10. The installation for formation through recirculation of industrial lead-acid accumulators, which will be purchased and installed under the project will be designed and produced in conformity with the technological needs of the company, corresponding of its needs and purposes. In this particular case we have entirely new way of motive power lead-acid batteries production, through the system of electrolyte recirculation, which is demonstration technology, without analogue in Bulgaria. This is a technological and process innovation, aiming at raising the effectiveness, reducing the main resources, used in the production with 14.4%(a part of them are HCS-sulfuric acid, which quality will be reduced with 40%) and the generated waste with 40%.The installation will considerably decrease the emissions in the atmosphere. The capacity will increase, the technology process will achieve optimization of 30%, which will reduce the cost of one battery produced. The production after the project implementation compared with 2016 will increase with 250%.The applied technology method of formation will use innovation, which will help to achieve high standards of quality, conforming to the requirements for saving costs and corresponding to the highest standards of environmental protection
