Increasing the resource efficiency in "NTN" Ltd. through new solutions in the production process

The main objective of project „ Increasing the resource efficiency in "NTN" Ltd. through new solutions in the production process “ is the increase of the resource efficiency in the company through the introduction of new pilot solution for improvement of the production process (production innovation). During the preparation phase of the project measurements of the levels of emission were effected and an audit for resource efficiency was carried out. The activities under Element A which will lead to an increase of the resource efficiency of NTN Ltd. are the following: • Purchase of an automatic metal cutting laser machine - 1 Under Element C, activities for multiplying the project results will be carried out (press conference, workshop, publications in media), as well as activities for visualization of the project. Through the project implementation NTN Ltd. will achieve a considerable increase in the efficiency of resource use: • Reduction of the quantities of used raw materials for the production of one product unit by 6.27 % • More effective management of industrial waste through its prevention for the production of one product unit (the highest level in the hierarchy in waste management according to art.6 of the Waste Management Act) by 43,89 % The project will have a direct and significant contribution to the achievement of sustainable development and environment protection as a result of: • Reduction of the use of hazardous chemical substances by 27.15 % • Reduction of the quantities of emissions produced by the cutting process in the company by 10 % A direct result from the introduction of pilot new technological solution in NTN Ltd. will be the increase of the production capacity of the company through the purchase of new equipment with high productivity, high level of automatization and innovative built-in software which will enable the realization of a production (process) innovation.
