Implementing pilot technology solutions for resource efficiency in Strigid Ltd.

STRIGID Ltd. is a small enterprise developing a production activity with basic technological processes in metalworking. The current project is based on a resource efficiency audit, improves resource efficiency, has a positive impact on environmental protection, and has the potential to multiply results. The project envisages investment activities for the implementation of technological and ICT solutions for optimization of production processes, reduction of used raw materials and waste generated in the existing production by putting into operation of tangible assets - CNC lathe, Vertical Machining Center and CNC Hydraulic abcant press, thanks to which the applicant will implement pilot solutions for Bulgaria, representing process / production / innovation. The implementation of the project includes activities for 2 events and publication in traditional and digital media for multiplication of results as well as visualization of the project. Successful implementation of the project will lead to resource efficiency in the enterprise, will have a positive effect on environmental protection by reducing the amount of harmful emissions into the atmosphere, dangerous chemical substances per unit of product and quantity of waste generated from sawdust, chips and cuttings from ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and plastics. Expected results within a year after the implementation of the project against base 2016 are: - Reduction of the raw materials used to produce a unit of product with a code of PRODPROM 28.93.17.50 Machinery and apparatus for meat processing with 38.69%; - increasing the efficiency of production costs by 17.24% - reducing the amount of generated waste by 39,28% and switching to prevention; - utilization of part of the waste for the production of a new product for the company falling within the same NACE, for which activities to improve resource efficiency are envisaged;
