More efficient use of resources in EKON-91 Ltd.

ECON-91 LTD is a modern company that produces a wide range of lacquer-based materials (LBM) and foamed (PL) products. The company was established in 1996 and is one of 14 manufacturers in the world, producers of mattresses and other products from foam and the only manufacturer of latex mattresses for Bulgaria and Eastern Europe. Since its inception, the company has been striving to continuously improve its manufacturing processes by imposing a sustainable behavioral model aimed at protecting the environment and resource efficiency. The current project proposal, which envisages the introduction in the production of innovative technological solutions for Bulgaria for efficient resource management, reduction of the used raw materials and prevention of the generated technological waste, processing of the technological marriage and its reuse in the production, as well and for the treatment of waste industrial water and its return to production. The following long-term tangible assets are planned to be purchased for the implementation of the above-mentioned activities within the project: a system for automatic filling and extraction of polytechnic cores, a facility for utilization of the technological marriage and a system for regeneration of industrial wastewater and returning it back to which will ensure implementation of the implementation activities in the production of innovative technological solutions for resource efficiency, by reducing the quantity of used Annie raw materials and more efficient waste management. In addition, within the project, the implementation of the relevant activities related to project auditing, information and publicity for the project, multiplication of results through the dissemination of information on the innovative technological solution to other enterprises where it could be applied.
