Pilot and demonstration initiatives for resource efficiency in Italenerji LTD

The Bulgarian economy, according to Eurostat data for 2015 and 2016, is the last on resource productivity (GDP / used resources). High natural quantities resources consumed in production, low environmental standards are due to obsolete technologies and limited access to new production practices, systems and models. According to the National Waste Management Policy 2014-2020, the relative share of industrial waste is over 80% and the value of generated hazardous waste per unit of GDP for Bulgaria remains over twice the average for the EU-27. And for enhancing resource efficiency, this support is applied to encourage businesses to invest in new solutions, techniques and methods. In line with the country's strategy for increasing resource efficiency, the management of Italenerji LTD is also taking measures to implement innovative solutions to increase the resource efficiency of the enterprise, to upgrade existing technological equipment, to develop environmentally sound production and sustainable growth and competitiveness. For this purpose, the Company envisages the following activities: • preparation of resource efficiency audit • implementation of a new technological solution and ICT - purchase of tangible and intangible assets and development of DNO / specialized intelligent software / and implementation of a specialized system with artificial intelligence elements for control and monitoring of resource consumption, optimization of production process and waste formation • Engineering technical consultancy • Activity multiplication results • Publicity and visualization With the implementation of the project, the competitiveness of the company on Bulgarian market will be increased, its capacity will be expanded, the production output will increase by more than 115% compared to 2016, the resource efficiency will be increased by 22% and the waste generation will be 44 % less, a pilot system will be introduced in the country.
