EcoPlastPran

ECOINVEST Ltd. is an enterprise with main economic activity - production of polymers in primary forms made from waste plastics, mainly packaging waste. The company has a production factory for polymers in Pazardzhik, which processed 10,000 tons of plastic waste per year. According to the company's production and investment program, by mid-2020, the share of recycled plastic waste should increase by 30%. The objectives of the present project are to expand the capacity of ECOINVEST's production base and to achieve a more sustainable business model and environmental friendliness both for the company and for the polymers industry in Bulgaria. This will be achieved through investment in a new industrial washing line for purification of the waste mass. The planned production equipment will incorporate pilot technologies for our market that will introduce an innovative production method. Activities to multiply the effect are also planned and they will be achieved by organizing events that will present the used technologies, the production model and the benefits of their deployment for the individual enterprises, the whole market and for the achievement of a more sustainable economy. The expected results of the implementation of the EcoPlastPran project and according to the prepared technological audit are: - an average reduction of inputs used in the production of more than 40%; - reduce the use of dangerous chemicals by approximately by 66%; - reduction of generated waste by over 53%; - increasing the total mass of recycled wastes, including those from packaging; - reduction of emissions in wasted water by over 45%; - increasing cost efficiency by more than 16%; - a time limit for buyback the investment below 1 year. These results will reduce the cost of production and will increase the competitiveness of the enterprise.
