Implementation of an innovative, automated and resource efficient process for the production of ladies' garments by "LGPP" Ltd.

LGRP Ltd. was established in 2004 as a factory producing shoulder pads. Now, through intermediaries, the company produces women’s clothing for big global brands. The company’s main priorities are product quality, high productivity, and environmental responsibility. In line with these values, the company strives to continually update and expand its production capabilities to keep pace with the state of the art sewing industry. In this regard, the current project proposal is aimed at introducing a pilot technology that optimizes each of the stages of the women's clothing production (Spreading and Cutting, Sewing and Ironing) so as to obtain a fully automated cycle leading to more efficient use of resources and reduction of waste flows. Therefore, LGRP Ltd. needs to purchase a high-tech equipment, including the latest generation automatic cutter, based on Industry 4.0 and supplemented by an automatic fabric spreader; a set of specialized resource-efficient sewing machines; ironing equipment and a baling press machine, completing the production cycle. The successful implementation of the current project will lead to the following results: - more efficient production of women's clothing by optimizing the main stages - Spreading and Cutting, Sewing and Ironing - more rational use of the resources - minimized the amount of the waste materials generated - reduced spoil products by 50% - improved management of the generated waste, according to Art. 6 of the WMA by moving from "disposal" to "prevention" (for textile waste) and from "disposal" to "recycling" (for paper waste) - minimized the harmful environmental impact as a result of the production process - expanded production capacity - increased resource efficiency, innovation capacity and product quality.
