As a result of the implementation of the envisaged activities under this project, a positive effect is expected to build up the capacity to implement EE measures and evaluate their results, more effective planning and implementation of specific EE and RES policies, such as this will help to achieve sustainable energy development. Creating conditions for the formation of correct and objective energy efficiency criteria that will benefit from subsequent programming, analysis and forecasting.Project target groups are: Enterprises, incl. SMEs; Energy managers of obligated persons under the Energy Efficiency Act and companies outside the scope of the Energy Efficiency Act, employees of the specialized units of the SEDA.The main activities of the project are as follows: Organization of practical training for working with the TIMES model generator and its modules: input - output software (VEDA FE, VEDA BE) and GAMS; Exchange of experience in energy modeling and forecasting the effect of the implemented energy efficiency measures and the use of RES in the country based on the TIMES model generator, Preparation / performance of analyzes, surveys (including questionnaires), surveys, evaluations, etc. necessary for: 1.1. Creation of a system for gathering and maintaining information on key indicators for energy intensity (efficiency) by sectors of economic activity in Bulgaria. 1.2. Collection of data on final and primary consumption in the Industry by Processes and Types of Fuels and Energy, as well as the use of energy from renewable sources; Developing an online application for comparing key energy performance indicators for SMEs; Organizing and conducting specialized trainings for the staff of the specialized units of AUER to increase their capacity; Organizing and conducting trainings on energy efficiency management and BDS EN ISO 50001 in industrial enterprises, incl. SMEs. for energy managers in enterprises.
