Improving the procedures for granting international protection through training

The project was developed in response to the need of upgrading and enhancing of the institutional capacity of the State Agency for Refugees with the Council of Ministers to fulfill its public role in the implementation of the state policy in the field of international protection as specialized state body for granting protection to foreigners. The envisaged activities will cover the employees of SAR, who, with their assigned activities and responsibilities, are key players in the procedures for providing international protection to foreigners. Training and experience sharing activities will enhance professional competence for more effective performance of their duties. Through specialized training, their knowledge, skills and attitudes will be developed; Emphasis will be placed on international protection, improving quality of work by developing and building skills to cope with everyday difficulties and reducing the level of stress in the workplace; Developing knowledge about countries of origin of refugees and skills for positive communication and tolerance. Another focus of the project is to ensure the constant exchange of up-to-date information and experience between the employees of SAR and all interested parties through the preparation and dissemination of information materials.
