Training and counselling of legal migrants and persons seeking/granted with protection

The project will support third-country nationals (TCNs) legally residing in Bulgaria and persons seeking asylum or granted with international protection in their social, economic and cultural integration. TCNs supported will receive relevant information on the legal rights and obligations pertaining to their stay in Bulgaria, and will increase their knowledge about services and competent authorities in social, educational, health, employment and other areas. Support will be provided for professional orientation for facilitation of employment. Special focus will be put on the needs of vulnerable TCNs, such as unaccompanied children, persons with health problems, pregnant women, etc. Training on Bulgarian language will be provided to TCNs. The project will support TCNs to overcome the integration challenges in the areas of employment, education, social assistance, etc. The project will be implemented through the following activities: 1. Informing, advising and facilitating the cultural adaptation of TCNs within which it will take place:  Supporting TCNs in their social orientation and cultural adaptation, acquaintance with the social system in the country, political structure, cultural traditions, etc .;  Support for professional orientation aiming at facilitation of employment;;  Advising and referring TCNs to the service according to their needs;  Providing information to help TCNs access public and private services;  Raising awareness by conducting information events and disseminating information materials;  Providing information through the IOM website and Facebook page about integration and cultural adaptation of TCNs in Bulgaria; 2. Conducting Bulgarian language training. It is expected 2600 TCNs to be facilitated in their integration process and access to services, employment and education, including 600 TCNs who will improve their ability to understand and communicate in Bulgarian language.
