CAPACITY BUILDING FOR VOLUNTARY RETURN

The proposed project is under Action 3 "Measures implementing the EU Action Plan on the Return of Third-Country Nationals and possible follow-up to the plan to enhance the effectiveness of the EU return system for illegal migrants established and implemented in / through innovative cooperation with other Member States " The project will provide national authorities with practical knowledge and tools for implementation of voluntary return measures of third country nationals (TCNs) in accordance with good European practices. Project activities will be attended by representatives of public institutions and NGOs and international organizations operating in the field of return in Bulgaria. Each of the working visits and training seminars will be held as a bilateral or multilateral event with participation of experts with proven experience in voluntary return and reintegration of TCNs from institutions and organizations of other EU Member States and/or CoO. The working visits and training seminars will pay attention in particular to measures supporting return of individuals in situation of vulnerability The following project activities will be implemented:  4 working visits will be carried out - 2 in EU Member states with proven experience in voluntary return and reintegration measures such as Germany, Belgium and Greece; and 2 in CoO, e.g. Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Mongolia, Ukraine, being among top CoO of migrants returned from Bulgaria.  5 training seminars will be organised and carried out with the participation of experts from EU Member States and/or CoO, aimed at enhancing the assisted voluntary return and reintegration (AVRR) knowledge and experience of up to 150 representatives of Bulgarian public institutions and other organizations. A set of measures that may improve the coordination among institutions in the field of return, on the basis of best practices at European level, will be drafted.
