Awareness raising for labour mobility to Bulgaria

The project aims at raising the awareness of people from Armenia, Georgia and Moldova about working in Bulgaria and key information related to labour market, administrative provisions, access to health system, education, social payments, recognition of labour qualification, legal stay in Bulgaria, etc. A survey will be carried out in Bulgaria among labour migrants to outline which are the main sectors in which they work, what are the key difficulties they faced after arrival in Bulgaria, etc. This will be used to better focus scope of the beneficiaries and content of the information to be provided. Awareness raising campaigns will be carried out to improve knowledge of citizens of Armenia, Georgia and Moldova about all relevant aspects of living and working in Bulgaria. IOM offices in Armenia, Georgia and Moldova will be deeply involved in implementation of information activities. Information materials on paper and web based will be designed and produced. Information materials will be disseminated using partnership networks of IOM with public institutions and civil society organisations (CSOs) in the three countries. Web based materials will be published by Internet and social media to popularize support available and to attract citizens to participate project events. Representatives of Bulgarian MSLP and Confederation of Independent Trade Unions of Bulgaria will be lecturers at information sessions in Armenia, Georgia and Moldova. 30 information sessions will be held in Armenia, Georgia and Moldova, in which up to 1500, but not less than 1000 people will be informed. Project events held in Armenia, Georgia and Moldova will be attended also by representatives of relevant public institutions and CSOs to coordinate project content and provide relevant information from the perspective of local legislation. Opening and closing events will be organised in the 3 countries and closing event in Bulgaria as well to ensure information and publicity.
