Information and counselling for voluntary return

The proposed project is presented under Action 3 "Consultation and Promotion of Voluntary Return to Countries of Origin" of the current grant award procedure. The proposed project will provide 400 third country nationals (TCNs) in Bulgaria with information on possibilities for voluntary return and reintegration. Target beneficiaries are undocumented TCNs, applicants for international protection, applicants for international protection that have their application rejected as well as beneficiaries for international protection. Specific focus of the project will be providing access to the voluntary return option to third-country nationals in situation of vulnerability and assisting them to make an informed decision for voluntary return. In addition, migrants will be provided when necessary with legal counselling. The project will provide migrants with return-relevant, country of origin-information and voluntary return counselling. During the project execution it is expected: • 6 information campaigns to be carried out; • 400 TCNs, including at least 40 TCNs in situation of vulnerability to be provided with information and individual counseling about the voluntary return option. • 100 TCNs, including at least 20 TCNs in situation of vulnerability to make a voluntary return decision and to sign a voluntary return declaration. Potential returnees will be informed about and counseled on the opportunities for voluntary return and reintegration assistance provided by IOM Bulgaria. Persons who took an informed decision to use voluntary return option will be referred for further support for implementation of voluntary return and reintegration measures available under the project under Action 5 "Voluntary Return and Reintegration Measures in Countries of Origin" of the current grant award procedure.
