VOLUNTARY RETURN AND REINTEGRATION OF THIRD-COUNTRY NATIONALS

The project is under Action 5 "Voluntary Return and Reintegration Measures in Countries of Origin"of the current procedure. Project will facilitate assisted voluntary return of 700 third country nationals (TCNs) staying in Bulgaria and will provide 300 of them with reintegration assistance. Specific focus of the project will be providing support for voluntary return and reintegration to vulnerable migrants. The project will be implemented using the IOM network of missions in the countries of origin thus ensuring proper implementation of reintegration measures after arrival in the countries of origin. The project will provide return-relevant, country of origin-information, voluntary return counselling, and comprehensive support for voluntary return, including transit assistance, assistance upon arrival and reintegration support. Project activities will be carried out on the territory of Bulgaria, EU and third countries (as regard transit assistance) and on the territory of third countries (as regard assistance upon arrival as well as for preparation, implementation and monitoring of reintegration programmes) TCNs will be informed about and counseled on the opportunities for voluntary return and reintegration assistance available under the project. Individual plans for voluntary return and reintegration will be drawn up for TCNs who decide to take advantage of the voluntary return and reintegration. Persons who have taken informed decision for voluntary return based on support provided under the Action 3 "Consultation and Promotion of Voluntary Return to Countries of Origin" of the current procedure will be provided with further support for implementation of voluntary return and reintegration . However, information and counselling provided to them will be limited only to support for preparation of voluntary return departure and reintegration assistance. Specific counselling templates will be applied which will be coordinated with Responsible Authority.
