Border Control AIS further development and preparedness to operate withe the exit/entry functionality

This project proposal is in line with Regulation (EU) 2017/2226 of the European parliament and of the Council of 30 November 2017 establishing the building up and implementation of the Entry/Exit System (EES) to register entry and exit data and refusal of entry data of third-country nationals crossing the external borders of the Member States. The proposal envisages activities for further development of the existing Border Control AIS functionalities with a new one, which will allow for data exchange with the now establishing Exit/Entry System. It is expected that highly specialised devices will be delivered under the project. they will support electronic id document checks at the EU external borders. The project implementation will assist activities to be executed in relation to the measures needed to establish the Entry/Exit System and create the necessary conditions for implementing both new technologies, and all the requirements set under the Entry/Exit System and its integration with the now exploiting MoI AIS, which will exchange data with it.
