Protective equipment and consumables to protect, prevent the spread of COVID-19

The specific epidemiological situation requires the provision of border-police officers responsible for border control and border surveillance with personal protective equipment and clothing in the performance of their duties. The provision of these means and clothing is a primary need for the smooth performance of the tasks assigned to them relating to the provision of effective border guards. Adequate prevention measures are necessary for the smooth implementation of border controls and monitoring in the implementation of anti-epidemic measures and social exclusion, which will increase the possibilities of limiting the spread of COVID-19 and ensuring adequate conditions for the protection of the health of staff involved in the management of the EU's external borders. The Medical Institute of the Ministry of Interior, as a partner, will participate in the part of the project for the supply of personal protective equipment and consumables to protect the health of police officers and prevent the distribution of COVID-19 for the needs of the employees involved in security activities, as experts in the part with the preparation of technical specifications, regarding the purchase of protective clothing, disinfectant materials, etc. Equipment and personal protective equipment will be provided to the employees and structural units of RDBP Burgas, RDBP Elhovo, RDBP Smolyan, RDBP Kyustendil, RDBP Dragoman, RDBP Ruse, RDBP Airports. We provide for installation of cameras for the 7rd RDBP and provision of manual thermal cameras for the structural units /BPU`s and BSP/ of the RDBP. Currently, border control is carried out at all borders of the Republic of Bulgaria and the employees of the CDBP are in constant contact with different groups of citizens from different countries.
