Post-warranty technical maintenance and update of the software components of NVIS

This project is aimed at post-warranty technical maintenance of the software and hardware of the National Visa Information System (NVIS), including the application software of the central and local component of NVIS, as well as the national interface for connection with the Visa Information System of the European Union (VIS-EU). The maintenance of NVIS envisaged in this project will be carried out in compliance with the requirements for guaranteeing interoperability and continuous connection of NVIS with the VIS-EU and the Consultation Network VIS Mail. In the context of the efforts undertaken to ensure continuous utilization of best available technology for the central VIS and the national interfaces in accordance with the provisions of Regulation № 767/2008, the post-warranty maintenance of NVIS will encompass: removal of recurring accidents and defects in operation of NVIS, supply of regular technical services of the system, as well as maintenance of the software components (base and system software) of the infrastructure and application software of NVIS and its elements thereof. For the purposes of enhancing and improving the professional skills and competences of the users of NVIS, there will be conducted specialized trainings for NVIS administrators, trainings on the software products used in NVIS, and training of trainers on the functionalities of the system. Within the task so targeted at post-warranty maintenance of NVIS in view of strengthening common visa policy, consular cooperation and consultation between central visa authorities of the EU member states, the following project activities will be performed: 1. Management, implementation and control of the project; 2. Technical Maintenance of the software and hardware of NVIS; 4. Technological maintenance of the application software of NVIS; 5. Information and public awareness of the project.
