Renovation of premises to provide conditions for border control

The project proposal will contribute to supporting the integrated management and enhancing security of the borders of the Republic of Bulgaria and the EU and increase the capacity of the Chief Directorate Border Police (CDBP) to perform border control tasks through maintenance and repair (reconstruction), modernization of premises for accommodation of detained persons in Border Police Unit (BPU) Burgas - Regional Directorate Border Police (RDBP) Burgas, BPU Bregovo - RDBP Dragoman and BPU Zlatarevo - RDBP Kyustendil. For the implementation of the project, design activities, contractor supervision, monitoring of the construction of the facilities, conformity assessment of investment projects, investors control and health and safety coordination functions shall be carried out. The project proposal will contribute to the observance of the fundamental rights and human dignity of third-country nationals, accommodated in accommodation facilities for detained persons in the CDBP. In particular, activities should contribute to compliance with the provisions of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and the principle of fair treatment of third-country nationals. With the implementation of the project will be achieve: 1. Supporting the integrated management and enhancing security at the borders of Republic of Bulgaria and the EU. 2. Increasing the efficiency of the work of the Border Police officers. 3. Improving the working conditions of the Border Police officers. 4. Improving the conditions in the premises for accommodation of detained persons in the structural units of the Chief Directorate Border Police. 5. Respect for the fundamental rights and human dignity of third-country nationals accommodated in accommodation facilities for detainees at the CDBP.
