Introduction of specialized software for analysis of financial intelligence information.

The project aims at state institutions competent to receive, store and analyze information received under the Law on Measures against Money Laundering (LMML) and the Law on Measures against Financing of Terrorism (LMFT).The following types of activities will be financed :1)Study of the best practices in the EU in elaborating software systems for analysis of financial intelligence information (FII);2)Supply and implementation of a specialized software system (SSS) for analysis of FII received under the LMML and LMTF, including through connection with existing electronic systems for obtaining and processing of information received under LMMT a. LMFTand payment for installation and support fee 3)Build in functionality for exchange of FII with law enforcement authorities, recipients of information under article 75, 1 of LMML 4)Providing of hardware equipment.5)Information and publicity.This will be implemented in several stages:1.Supply and implementation of a finished product of SSS for analysis of FII and payment for installation and annual support fee for support of SSS for analysis of FII.2. Build in functionality for exchange of FII with law enforcement authorities recipients of information under article 75, 1 of LMML.3. Providing of hardware.The expected duration is 60 months.The project aims at achieving a goal set in the political dialogue between BG and the EC to increase the level of efficiency and timeliness of financial-intelligence analyses, which is a preliminary stage before the start of financial investigations.The project will lead to the fulfillment of the requirements of Art. 3, para 3, (B) of Regulation(EU)2014/513 and Art. 32ofDirective(EU)2015/849.As a result, an increased effectiveness in financial crimes investigations,ML and TF will be achieved, as well as increased technical capacity in fight against terrorism, serious and organized crime. A SSS will be elaborated and functional and increased exchange of FII with foreign FIUs will be achieved.
