Purchase of technical equipment for elaboration of analysis on radicalization processes

Neutralizing the challenges relevant to terrorism, radicalization and the expansion of aggressive extremism depend on the unstable social situation and require an extended system of coordinated initiatives and expert skills. Key element for achieving the aimed results is the early intervention of not only the law enforcement authorities, but of all partners, engaged in neutralizing these processes-national institutions and employees with direct contacts with communities and groups, vulnerable to radicalization. For achieving the priority goals, related counterterrorism at EU level, a NCTC in SANS is established in 2014 by government decree, as an interdepartmental structure dealing function of integrated national platform for collecting and processing of information for identification of persons and organization related to terrorism, working in 24/7 and providing coordinated management of national informational resources. The project aims to improve the national counterterrorism system by optimizing activities of NCTC and a Specialized Directorate in SANS through raising administrative capacity of the employees. The project envisages realization of 4 activities:Activity1:Purchase and maintenance of software for processing information from public space, assisting the elaboration of analysis on radicalization development in Bulgaria.Activity2:Purchase of technical equipment for visualization of elaborated analysis (plotter and 5 computer configurations for Territorial Directorate in SANS) Activity3:Purchase of technical equipment (45 computer configurations) for the purposes of exchanging information with engaged government and public partners about radicalization processes (REM-MES-20, Regional Subdivisions of ASA-MLSP-20 and CCCJD-5) Activity4:Other direct expenses, directly evolving from the EU co-financing requirements – Providing/Purchase of labels (stickers) on purchased technics to ensure publicity and visual identification of the awarded grant.
