Establishment of a specialized operational system for combating crime in MoI

This project proposal will be implemented by the Internal Security Directorate as a specific beneficiary in view of its specific competence to prevent, intercept and detect crimes committed by Ministry of the Interior officers as well as in the implementation of prevention and counteraction measures corruption in the system. It aims to increase the efficiency of the employees of the directorate in the implementation of operational-search events on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria. Through the specialized operational equipment for mobile surveillance, communication, control, registration and recording of the information, it will be possible to exchange it with existing systems in the Ministry of Interior, for collecting and analyzing video information, which will provide the opportunity for carrying out video analysis in order to facilitate and automated the work of Ministry of the Internal staff. In order to achieve this objective, activities are envisaged for the construction of an automated audio and video communication system with mobile operating stations to prevent illegal actions by Ministry of the Interior staff. The expected results of the project activities are: • Automated audio and video communication system with 5 mobile stations for direct operational connections, coordination and control; • Increased technical capacity of the Internal Affairs Directorate for the efficiency of operational - search activities for detecting and preventing crimes committed by police officers; • Reducing the level of corruption among MoI officials; More effective anti-corruption measures implemented. The impact of the results will be: preventive and intermittent action; illegal acts of Ministry of the Interior officials. Measures introduced through automated audio and video communication systems will help to reduce the level of corruption in the Ministry of the Interior and the corrupt practices among employees.
