Support for GDCOC to implement EMPACT activities

General Directorate Combating Organized Crime is a responsible leader of activities in the Operational Action Plans for priority areas, part of the Multiannual Strategic Plan within the EU's 4-year policy cycle on combating serious and transnational organized crime. The project proposal provides the necessary support to enable these activities to be carried out in the most optimal way and to ensure a high level of security within the Union. The target group of the project is the employees of GDCOC - Ministry of Interior, citizens of the Republic of Bulgaria and the EU. The main objective of the project is to achieve a high level of security within the Union by enhancing the institutional capacity to prevent and combat cross-border, serious and organized crime, in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 513/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council, and the specific objective is the prevention of crime, the fight against cross-border, serious and organized crime. The expected results are: - Improved interoperability and synergies with the CSDP with partner law enforcement agencies in implementing activities of the Operational Action Plans related to EU priorities in the fight against organized and serious international crime: Cannabis, Cocaine and Heroin and Cybercrime (Cybercrime) electronic payment instruments); - Improved exchange of operational information with partners from the network of law enforcement authorities of third countries; - Enhancing the technical capacity, efficiency and effectiveness of the CSDP in combating cross-border, organized and serious crime. The main activities of the project will be to conduct working visits to the EU and / or third countries in order to exchange operational information with partners from the network of law enforcement authorities of third countries and to supply specialized operational equipment. The project activities will be implemented within the EU and / or third countries.
