In order to provide information systems in the Ministry of Interior of national and international importance, their operational efficiency, security and development, it is necessary to fully and comprehensively address the needs for the necessary components. In fulfillment of this task and the general direction for communication and information modernization of the systems in the Ministry of Interior, as part of the concept for overall reform, specific projects are being implemented, implemented under various financial mechanisms. Particular attention is paid to critical systems serving the commitments of the Republic of Bulgaria, related to the support of police cooperation, prevention and fight against crime and crisis management. Renewal of technical support, support and software subscriptions, delivery of licenses for the VMware virtualization platform for the various information systems / services of the Ministry of Interior, renewal and modernization of the VDI infrastructure of the Ministry of Interior will increase the capacity for information exchange with other Member States in the field of crime prevention and counteraction. The interoperability of the information systems of the Ministry of Interior with the IT systems and database of the EU and other Member States in the field of crime prevention and counteraction will also be improved. This project should provide: supply of licenses for the virtualization platform "VMware" for the purpose of upgrading, maintenance of the existing information systems / services in the Ministry of Interior, in particular the virtualization environment, as well as upgrading the existing VDI infrastructure.
