Upgrading the sirene system announcement of the population and ECI protection

Upgrading the systems for early warning and announcement of the population and government authorities with regard to emergency actions related to European Critical Infrastructure (ECI) protection. In order to achieve the objectives and the expected results of the project, the following activities will be carried out: 1. Establishment of a system of early warning and announcement of the population and the critical infrastructure in the towns of St. Zagora and Galabovo – supply of equipment, assembly and installation, testing, integration with the Early warning and public announcement systems (EWPAS), preparation and submission of the required project documents, construction supervision. 2. Conducting training activities with the siren systems in the towns of St. Zagora and Galabovo and EWPAS in order to test the newly built-in systems and their integration, as well as a training, which will check the preparedness of the executive bodies on regional and municipal level and the operators of critical infrastructure facilities; 3. Conducting training courses for MOI and municipal administration employees, who will use and work with siren systems. 4. Information and publicity activities - There will be two activities - initial and final, the last one being united with an information day. The initial conference will promote the project - objectives and expected results and the Internal Security Fund - objectives and policies. On the information day and the final conference, the participants will be informed about the functionalities of the national early warning and announcement system, the need to protect the critical infrastructure facilities and the realized results of the implemented project. Local media reports on the project and the sustained impact of its results on the population of the two cities are foreseen.
