Building a Center for monitoring and reaction to cyber incidents at SANS.

The project is aimed at setting up a Center for monitoring and reaction to cyber incidents for the strategic sites, implying a module for monitoring and reaction to cyber incidents for classified networks within the State Agency for National Security. The project offers and its realization provides an innovative approach for the prevention and detection of network and information security incidents. The DANS's Center is regulated by article 15 of the Bulgarian Cybersecurity Act. The system will provide the following services: passive system surveillance and in time detection of breakthroughs in the information protection; reporting alerts and warnings, coordination during crisis situations; incidents analysis; active support, focused in increasing the level of education and training in the field of the cybersecurity field; awareness raising activities. The system will be part of the National cybersecurity network and will coordinate activities in relation to the information security of the strategic sites. The center will support DANS's activities related to article 4 of the DANS's act. The module for classified networks will provide incident analysis and active mitigation of cyber incidents in offline networks.
