Innovators in cultural entrepreneurship and new oppurtunities for culture and art in revitalized multifunctional hall of public library

Preservation and promotion of movable cultural heritage requires the availability of quality conditions. Spaces for culture and art in Ruse are insufficient and limit the development of the region. There is a need for new opportunities for preservation and presentation of movable cultural heritage. The library has suitable premises in need of current repairs and equipment. The project envisages revitalization and equipment of a multifunctional hall and allocation of a storage place of old printed fund, as well as provision of employment in the library. It creates a sense of community among participants and audience and opportunity for integration of socially vulnerable groups. Emphasis is placed on the presentation of rich old printed library collection, as well as on the audio-visual heritage in animated cinema. It’s planned to popularize the innovative forms in art through an interactive 3-dimensional paintings exhibition. Conditions are created for attracting participants from socially vulnerable groups by organizing theatre and photo studio. An important stage is the preparation of a 5-year Cultural Entrepreneurship Plan with a vision for the development of renovated sites, attracting audiences and generating additional revenue from cultural products. It’s also important to upgrade librarians’ skills, for whom training in cultural entrepreneurship is provided. As a result, Ruse has a multifunctional hall and repository for the promotion of cultural heritage and new forms of art, and jobs are created. Socially vulnerable groups are integrated and an audience is attracted. Cultural Entrepreneurship Plan is developed and 20 librar ians are trained. A working mechanism for the development of culture is created, with the possibility of new revenues, with a contribution to vision of the region. Target groups: 167585 residents of Ruse Municipality - children, youth, people of working and retirement age, 5000 people from socially vulnerable groups; 20000 tourists.
