Construction of a new installation for the use of geothermal energy for heating and cooling in the buildings of Kindergarten "Slantse", Yambol

The project envisages investments in energy efficiency through the use of energy from renewable energy sources and in particular from geothermal energy for heating and cooling in the two buildings of Kindergarten “Slantse”. The buildings, with an area of more than 8900sq.m., are public municipal property and they are located in the central part of the city of Yambol, No. 16 "Al. Stamboliyski" St. In order to increase the efficiency of the heat supply and reduce the energy costs for heating and domestic hot water supply, it is proposed to replace the fuel base and introduce RES as the main source of heat energy through a geothermal heat pump installation. The installation will provide for the needs of the buildings for maintaining normative values ​​of the microclimate during the heating and cooling period, as well as for domestic hot water supply during the heating and transitional seasons. In order to carry out effective monitoring, the implementation of a monitoring system for energy consumption is envisaged. In regard to the fact that cooperation with organisations from donor countries is an essential element in the priority area of ​​the project proposal, the exchange of specific experience and know-how with a partner from the Kingdom of Norway - IDN Research AS, is envisaged as project activity. Within the partnership between Yambol Municipality and the Norwegian organization, a visit of a Norwegian expert to Yambol is planned, in order to conduct a seminar for exchange of knowledge in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy, use of geothermal energy for heating or heating and cooling of municipal buildings, as well as a visit of experts from Yambol Municipality to Norway to participate in a case study workshop on the exchange of experience, knowledge and best practices in this field.
