Rehabilitation, modernization and construction of an intelligent system for management and monitoring of the external, artificial lighting system in Mladost district, kv. 16, Vazrazhdane district III m.r. and Vazrazhdane district IV m.r. of Varna Municipality

The project is a result of identified needs of Varna municipality to ensure compliance with the requirements of actual standards and norms for street lighting, reduction of greenhouse gas CO2 emissions, increase of expertise in the field of renewable energy, energy efficiency and management, as well as improvement living conditions. The project includes the implementation of activities for the Rehabilitation, modernization and construction of Intelligent System for Management and Monitoring of the external, artificial lighting system in part of Varna, according to the Energy Audit and those financed from the Beneficiary which are necessary for full compliance with the procedure indicators; construction and design supervision. To reduce the economic and social disparities in the EEA and to strengthen bilateral relations between donor and beneficiary countries, activities are planned to exchange experience, knowledge and best practices at managerial and expert levels - Conduction of round table and study visit in Norway and Conduction of round table in Varna. An Awareness and Publicity Plan has been developed, in compliance with the requirements of the EEA FM Communication and Design Guide 2014-2021 and item 2.3 of Annex 3 to the Regulation, which will provide clear, detailed and comprehensive information on bilateral cooperation between Varna Municipality and the Partner, the stages and the level of project activities's implementation and the results achieved. Project management activities and Financial Audit are envisaged to ensure successful implementation of the project, to ensure efficiency and effectiveness on the Grant use and to ensure the sustainability of the achieved results. The project proposal is integrated with and at the implementation stage will be respected the basic principles and values within the EEA 2014-2021, incl. good governance, sustainable development, gender equality and non-discrimination, zero tolerance for corruption.
